Square Nuts

Square Nuts are four-sided fasteners that provide a larger surface contact area compared to hex nuts, resulting in greater resistance to loosening and stripping. Their shape makes them easy to grip with a wrench, and they are often used with flat washers in assemblies.

Industrial Applications

Square Nuts are widely used in:

  • Electrical panels and assemblies: Provide safe and stable fastening with minimal risk of nut slippage.
  • Automotive industry: Used in body assemblies and vehicle parts where larger bearing surface is advantageous.
  • Construction and steel structures: Common in channel frameworks, brackets, and architectural metalwork.
  • Furniture making: Offer vintage and traditional aesthetics in wooden and metal furniture joints.
  • Machinery and equipment: Applied in assemblies requiring greater torque and load distribution.

Product Description

Square Nuts are characterized by their four-sided design, which offers better surface grip and greater load distribution compared to hex nuts. This design reduces the chances of rounding off under torque and makes them ideal for use in assemblies that require higher clamping forces. Square nuts are often paired with square head bolts or machine screws but can also be used with standard bolts. Available in standard and thin (jam) types, they are a preferred choice in both industrial and decorative applications where strength and aesthetics are important.
